2010. I think that this is going to be a big year. Why? I just have the feeling.

I'm starting the year in an unsure place-- temporary home, no job, no set plans--just the knowledge that I'm in the best place for the boy.

I love resolutions at the New Year. Sure, we never follow through on them and make the same ones over and over, but that's okay. Isn't that what the New Year is about- believing that something, anything will be new and different this year?

While I can't articulate all my resolutions, here's a few that's I'm toying with...
-Jog (slowly) a half-marathon
-Take film photography and develop it myself
-Love what I'm doing

How Ironic...

7.22.2009

So, six weeks ago, I sold my house, packed up my belongings, quit my job, transplanted my son, and left my community to pursue a teaching career in New Orleans. Six weeks later, after practice teaching and becoming "highly qualified" to teach, I still don't have a job. This means no dream, no benefits, no income, no set plans for my boy.

I stepped out in faith and continue to believe that faith will step back, but I am beginning to wonder... When? When?

Psalm 27- Be Strong. Take heart. Wait for the LORD.

Please watch the video of James' voting.
As he said it, he never heard "my daddy talk about voting."

it's a boy

Sometimes I am shocked by the "boy" factor of my son. Tonight he was looking at the Fantastic Four DVD cover (it's a work thing) and pointing to Jessica Alba, he says, "Mom, see that girl with the boobs; I like her."

WHAT?!?!

tee-hee

There is a reason that I don't blog very often--because when I do, I leave my one reader on the edge of her seat for weeks at a time. :) So, after all the wringing of hands and wondering, I withdrew my application for the less stressful/less money job prior to my interview. I like what I do now and see an end in sight (see previous post).

I see something else, maybe...

After the former post about bicycling and school, my employer presented me a different position-- better hours during the school year, less stress, and less money. I have applied, but don't know if it is the direction I really want to go. I have an interview next week...
